Travel Nursing Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,830-$1,920

- Schedule: 12-hour day shifts on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Call: Required
- Charting System: Epic
- Work Environment: On-site; floating to other nearby operating rooms may be required
Operating Room Registered Nurse Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida or a valid compact-state license, verifiable through Nursys at the time of submission
- At least 2 years of recent Operating Room Registered Nurse or perioperative nursing experience
- Strong orthopedic surgery and surgical nursing experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Degree accreditation documentation must be available; candidates without degree accreditation documentation must have 5 years of relevant experience
- Prior travel nursing or travel RN experience preferred
- Ability to participate in required call coverage and remain flexible to float between operating room locations
Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care throughout the preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases of the perioperative process
- Prepare operating rooms, surgical equipment, supplies, and patients for orthopedic and other surgical procedures
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia professionals, surgical technologists, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team
- Maintain sterile technique and support an efficient, safe surgical workflow
- Monitor patient condition and respond appropriately to changes before, during, and after procedures
- Document perioperative patient care accurately in Epic
- Provide required call coverage and adapt to assignments at other operating room locations when needed
