Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse – Travel Nursing Assignment in Madison, Wisconsin

Job Details
- Specialty: Medical-Surgical Telemetry Nursing
- Job Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN)
- Setting: Inpatient medical-surgical telemetry unit
- Location: Madison, WI 53718
- Shift: Night shift, 12 hours (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- Schedule: Approximately 3 shifts per week / 36 hours per week
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130 – $2,250
- Start Date: 10/12/2026
- Orientation: 20 hours
- Weekend Coverage: Required based on unit need
- Floating: May be required to other units as needed
Job Requirements
- Active Wisconsin RN license or compact RN license
- Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience within the last 3 years
- Telemetry experience required
- Epic charting experience required
- BLS certification through AHA required
- Ability to pass a telemetry exam before start
- Strong experience caring for adult and geriatric patients
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative inpatient healthcare setting
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to medical-surgical telemetry patients
- Monitor telemetry rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications, manage IV therapies, and support ordered treatment plans
- Care for patients with a wide range of medical and surgical diagnoses
- Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and support staff to coordinate care
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in Epic
- Support quality improvement efforts and evidence-based nursing practice
- Float as needed to support other units within the facility
