Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse – Travel Contract in Newburyport, MA

- Location: Newburyport, MA 01950 — a charming coastal North Shore city known for its historic downtown, scenic waterfront, and easy access to nearby beaches.
- Position: Registered Nurse – Med/Surg Tele Float Pool
- Employment Type: Travel Nursing
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date: 12/15/2026
- Shift Type: 12-hour rotating shifts
- Shift Options: Days (7:00 AM-7:00 PM) or Nights (7:00 PM-7:00 AM)
- Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week
- Guaranteed Hours: 72 hours biweekly
- Schedule: Every other weekend and every other holiday
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,470-$2,600
Job Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg or Telemetry nursing experience
- ACLS and BLS certification required
- Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts in a travel nurse role
- Experience with self-scheduling and adapting to a float pool environment
- Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and teamwork
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients
- Float between Med/Surg and Telemetry assignments as needed
- Monitor patient status, interpret telemetry data, and respond to changes in condition
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support quality patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow established nursing protocols
- Provide patient education and support discharge planning when appropriate
- Participate in a rotating schedule that includes weekends and holidays
