Travel Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) – 13-Week Contract in Norwalk, Ohio

Travel Nursing Job Details
- Specialty: Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (Med/Surg RN)
- Location: Norwalk, Ohio
- Healthcare Setting: On-site acute-care hospital environment
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800-$1,890
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks
- Assignment Dates: October 19, 2026-January 18, 2027
- Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12-hour night shifts
- Shift Hours: 7:00 p.m.-7:00 a.m.
- Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend
- Orientation: 16 hours
- Charting System: Cerner electronic health records

Med/Surg Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- At least 2 years of recent medical-surgical nursing experience in an acute-care setting
- Active Ohio Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications
- Recent experience using Cerner electronic health records
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and every-other-weekend rotations
- Willingness to float to appropriate units as needed, based on clinical experience and department policies
- Compliance with applicable workplace health and safety requirements, including required influenza vaccination or an approved medical or religious exemption
Travel RN Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive bedside nursing care to adult patients across the medical-surgical continuum
- Perform nursing assessments, develop and implement individualized plans of care, and evaluate patient outcomes
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Monitor patient conditions, identify changes in status, and communicate concerns promptly
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing colleagues, rehabilitation professionals, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge plans
- Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in Cerner
- Support a safe, respectful, and patient-centered care environment throughout each shift
