Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (Med/Surg RN) – Travel Nursing Contract in Waterloo, Iowa

Travel Nursing Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,930-$2,030
- Location: Waterloo, Iowa

Medical-Surgical RN Job Requirements
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Iowa
- At least 1 year of recent Medical-Surgical RN experience in an acute care setting
- Strong patient assessment, clinical prioritization, communication, and time-management skills
- Ability to provide safe, compassionate nursing care during 12-hour night shifts
- Ability to collaborate effectively with patients, families, nurses, providers, and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Successful completion of required professional, health, and competency screening before the assignment start date
Medical-Surgical Travel RN Responsibilities
- Assess adult patients, identify changes in condition, and promptly communicate significant findings
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to orders and nursing standards
- Monitor vital signs, clinical status, laboratory results, and patient responses to interventions
- Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and their families
- Coordinate care with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes in the electronic medical record
- Promote patient safety, infection prevention, quality care, and adherence to Medical-Surgical nursing standards
