Travel Med/Surg Registered Nurse – Harvey, IL | 13-Week RN Assignment in South Suburban Chicago
Travel Med/Surg RN opportunity in Harvey, Illinois for an experienced Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse seeking fast-paced inpatient care, teamwork, and a supportive float-pool environment. Job Details

- Shift: 12-hour day shifts (06:45 – 19:15)
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Floating: Required
- Charting System: Epic
- Patient Ratio: 1:6
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,470 – $1,550

Job Requirements
- Active Illinois RN license in hand
- Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- Experience caring for adult and geriatric patients
- Strong skills in telemetry and dysrhythmia interpretation/management
- Experience with tracheostomy care and management
- Comfortable working in a float pool setting
- NIHSS certification preferred
- Ability to adapt quickly, communicate effectively, and work collaboratively
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, compassionate nursing care to Medical-Surgical patients
- Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions accurately in Epic
- Manage telemetry monitoring and interpret dysrhythmias as needed
- Provide tracheostomy care and management while collaborating with respiratory therapy when appropriate
- Support patients with a variety of medical and surgical needs across the unit
- Float to assigned areas as required to meet staffing needs
- Work closely with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to promote quality outcomes
- Maintain a high standard of professionalism, flexibility, and patient-centered care
