Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Long-Term Care Travel Assignment in Penn Yan, NY

CNA Job Requirements
- Current New York State Nursing Assistant Certification required
- BLS certification required (AHA or RQI accepted)
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in long-term care or CNA capacity
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to provide compassionate care to adult and geriatric residents
- Strong communication, teamwork, and documentation skills
- Experience in clinical support, resident care, or healthcare jobs preferred
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including hygiene, grooming, dressing, toileting, incontinence care, turning, positioning, and skin care
- Support resident safety by responding promptly to call lights and alarms, maintaining a clean environment, and assisting with fall prevention measures
- Provide mealtime assistance, including tray setup, meal delivery, feeding support, and honoring resident preferences
- Help with restorative and rehabilitative care such as range of motion, ambulation, transfers, and proper body alignment
- Observe and report changes in resident physical, emotional, and psychosocial status to the charge or supervising nurse
- Document care accurately and follow established policies and procedures at all times
- Deliver dependable patient care and geriatric care in a fast-paced long-term care environment
