Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,160 to $2,270

- Setting: Short-term acute care hospital with Level 1 maternity and newborn care
- Location: Medford, Oregon
- Shift: 12-hour nights
- Schedule: 3 shifts per week; every other weekend required
- Weekly Hours: 36
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: 10/12/2026
- Unit Size: 8-bed LDRP with two triage rooms and two designated C-section operating rooms
- Charting System: Epic
- Call Requirement: May be placed on call for low census
- Float Requirement: Yes, based on unit needs
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Compact RN license in hand at time of submission, if applicable
- At least 1 year of Labor & Delivery nursing experience required; 2 years preferred based on unit needs
- Experience with AWHONN patient ratios and maternal-child care workflows
- Required certifications: BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate, AWHONN Advanced, and STABLE
- Experience with cesarean sections, labor triage, vaginal delivery, postpartum care, and nursery care
- Ability to care for antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, GYN, and newborn patients
- Experience using external fetal monitoring and recognizing abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
- Must be flexible with scheduling, floating, and holiday coverage as needed
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate patient care to laboring, postpartum, and newborn patients
- Support full-scope Level 1 triage, antepartum, labor, delivery, postpartum, and nursery care
- Assist with C-sections, including circulating for cesarean deliveries
- Perform assessments, interventions, and ongoing monitoring for obstetrical patients
- Use clinical judgment to identify and respond to changes in fetal and maternal status
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support high-quality patient outcomes
- Float between units as needed to meet patient care demands
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record (Epic)
