CT Technologist Job Details

CT Technologist Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist or CT Tech in a hospital or acute-care setting
- Current certification as a CT Technologist in Computed Tomography
- ARRT certification in Radiography (R)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Ability to work on-site while maintaining excellent patient care, imaging quality, and professionalism
CT Technologist Responsibilities
- Perform CT scans and computed tomography examinations according to established protocols and department standards
- Prepare patients for diagnostic imaging procedures, explain the process, and promote patient comfort and safety
- Operate CT equipment effectively while maintaining image quality and following radiation-safety practices
- Verify patient information, review imaging orders, and accurately document procedures in the medical record
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support timely diagnosis and treatment
- Follow infection-control, patient-identification, and quality-assurance procedures
