Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) in McKeesport, PA

LTAC Travel Nursing Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,890-$1,990

Registered Nurse (RN) Job Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Pennsylvania
- At least 1 year of bedside clinical nursing experience required; 2 years of experience preferred
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required before the first shift
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required before the first shift
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, organization, and time-management skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with patients, families, nurses, providers, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members
LTAC Registered Nurse Responsibilities
- Complete comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized plans of care for long-term acute care patients
- Provide direct patient care using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Monitor patient conditions, recognize changes in clinical status, and communicate pertinent information promptly
- Document assessments, nursing interventions, outcomes, and patient responses accurately and in a timely manner
- Participate in interdisciplinary care conferences and contribute to patient rehabilitation and recovery goals
- Initiate discharge planning and provide patient and family education beginning at admission
- Delegate appropriately and provide direction, training, and supervision to nursing support staff
- Promote patient safety, infection prevention, safe handling practices, and a secure care environment
- Support a positive, respectful, and efficient LTAC unit environment for patients, families, and colleagues
- Assume charge nurse responsibilities after orientation when requested and pursue ongoing professional development
