Travel RN Job Details

• Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / acute-care nursing
• Contract Type: Travel nursing contract
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,830-$1,920
• Start Date: November 6, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks, through February 6, 2027
• Schedule: 36 hours per week; three 12-hour night shifts
• Patient Assignment: Approximately 4 patients per nurse in a 36-bed progressive care setting
• Documentation System: Epic electronic medical record (EMR)
• Work Arrangement: On-site

PCU Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Florida
• At least 2 years of progressive care, PCU, or comparable acute-care nursing experience
• Progressive Care certification or demonstrated Progressive Care Unit experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Proficiency with Epic or a comparable electronic medical record system preferred
• Ability to float to other appropriate units or locations as needed
• Strong communication, teamwork, clinical judgment, and adaptability

Progressive Care RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to progressive care patients, including patients requiring close cardiac and clinical monitoring
• Assess patient conditions, identify changes in status, and promptly escalate concerns
• Administer medications and treatments safely in accordance with established clinical standards
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and the interdisciplinary care team
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, patient responses, and care coordination in Epic
• Support safe patient transitions, patient education, and discharge planning
• Float to designated units when needed while maintaining high standards of patient care
