Travel Cardiac Sonographer Job Details

• Location: Pocatello, Idaho
• Assignment Type: 13-week travel healthcare contract
• Contract Dates: October 26, 2026, through January 25, 2027
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,150-$2,310
• Healthcare Setting: Hospital echocardiography unit
• Schedule: Four shifts per week; 10-hour day shifts, approximately 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
• Call: Day shift with call responsibilities
• Unit Volume: Approximately 8-10 echocardiography studies per day across four rooms
• Charting System: Epic
• Patient Population: Adults, geriatric patients, neonates, infants, children, and adolescents

Echo Technologist and Cardiac Sonographer Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience as an Echo Technologist or Cardiac Sonographer
• Required pediatric echocardiography experience
• Experience performing adult and pediatric cardiac imaging in an acute-care or hospital setting
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Required RCS and RDMS-Pediatric credentials
• Active state or compact license or applicable credential available at the time of submission, if required for the role
• Previous travel sonographer experience is welcome but not required
• Strong computer, communication, organization, prioritization, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume hospital environment and adapt to varied clinical needs

Cardiac Sonography Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic cardiac sonography examinations for adult and pediatric patients
• Complete routine transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE), transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE), 3-D echocardiography, bubble studies, and stress echocardiograms
• Support pharmacologic and treadmill stress echocardiography procedures as assigned
• Collect pertinent clinical data and accurately document echocardiography procedures in Epic
• Assist physicians with cardiac imaging procedures and related patient care activities
• Provide appropriate care for patients ranging from neonates and infants to adults and geriatric patients
• Coordinate daily echocardiography workflow to promote efficient operations and a positive work environment
• Demonstrate sound judgment, patience, professionalism, and attention to detail
• Participate in performance-improvement activities and maintain high standards of patient care
