Seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 13-week hospital travel assignment in Pocatello, Idaho. Join an acute-care respiratory therapy team on night shifts and provide comprehensive respiratory care across a 205-bed hospital.
This travel respiratory therapist position supports adolescents, infants, adults, pediatric patients, and geriatric patients in medical-surgical, progressive care, intensive care, rehabilitation, emergency, and limited pediatric settings. Located in scenic Eastern Idaho, Pocatello offers mountain landscapes, outdoor recreation, and a welcoming community.
Respiratory Therapist Travel Job Details
- Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Assignment Type: 13-week hospital travel assignment
- Location: Pocatello, Idaho
- Start Date: October 26, 2026
- End Date: January 25, 2027
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,420-$1,530
- Schedule: Three 12-hour night shifts per week
- Shift Hours: 6:45 p.m. – 7:15 a.m.
- Hours: Approximately 36 hours per week
- Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend
- Documentation System: Epic
- Orientation: 36 hours
- Patient Population: Adolescents, infants, adults, pediatric patients, and geriatric patients
Registered Respiratory Therapist Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of recent respiratory therapy experience in an acute-care hospital setting
- Current respiratory therapist licensure or authorization to practice in Idaho; state or compact license must be in hand at submission
- Current ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications
- Epic documentation experience required
- Clinical experience caring for adult and pediatric patients, including critical-care populations
- Ability to work night shifts and every other weekend
- Travelers must reside at least 50 miles from the assignment location
Respiratory Therapy Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory care across medical-surgical, rehabilitation, progressive care, intensive care, emergency, and limited pediatric units
- Manage BiPAP, CPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, mechanical ventilation, and ventilator weaning
- Assist with intubation and extubation procedures and provide oral, nasal, and tracheostomy airway care
- Perform endotracheal and tracheostomy suctioning, airway placement, aerosol treatments, nebulizer therapy, and inhaler administration
- Interpret arterial blood gases and perform basic EKG assessment
- Collect sputum specimens and complete timely, accurate clinical documentation in Epic
- Collaborate with nursing, physicians, rapid response teams, pharmacy, radiology, and other interdisciplinary services
- Promote safe, compassionate, and evidence-based respiratory care for patients across the lifespan
