Travel Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) – Night Shift in Springfield, MA
Join a dedicated hospital team as an experienced Travel Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse in Springfield, Massachusetts. This 13-week travel nursing assignment offers on-site night shifts, competitive weekly pay, and the opportunity to provide high-quality care to diverse adult patients in a flexible Medical-Surgical Telemetry float team.
Travel Nursing Job Details
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,360-$2,480
- Assignment Type: 13-week travel nursing assignment
- Location: Springfield, Massachusetts
- Start Date: October 26, 2026
- End Date: January 24, 2027
- Healthcare Setting: On-site Medical-Surgical Telemetry float team
- Nursing Shift: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 p.m.-7:00 a.m.
- Shifts per Week: 3
- Shift Duration: 12 hours
- Schedule: 36 hours per week, with the ability to accommodate a 48-hour work week
- Weekend and Holiday Schedule: Every other weekend and alternating holidays
- Typical Patient Ratios: 1:5 to 1:6, with occasional 1:7 assignments
Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license eligible for practice in Massachusetts
- At least 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical or Telemetry nursing experience
- Current Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification
- Strong patient assessment, prioritization, communication, and clinical judgment skills
- Cerner experience preferred
Travel RN Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult Medical-Surgical and Telemetry patients
- Float among Medical-Surgical Telemetry areas based on patient census and unit needs
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and patient conditions, identify changes promptly, and escalate concerns appropriately
- Administer medications and treatments safely while following established clinical protocols
- Perform comprehensive assessments, develop and update individualized care plans, and accurately document patient care
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
- Provide patient and family education to support recovery, safety, and continuity of care
- Maintain safe staffing practices and deliver quality care within assigned patient ratios
