MRI Technologist Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910-$2,050
• Location: Greenville, South Carolina
• Travel Healthcare Setting: Hospital-based MRI department
• Start Date: November 2, 2026
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks, through February 1, 2027
• Schedule: Tuesday through Thursday, 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts
• Shifts per Week: 3
• Hours per Week: 36
• Call: None required
• Charting System: Epic
• Scrubs: Hunter green
• Floating: May be required to qualified units or campuses based on operational needs

MRI Technologist Job Requirements

• At least 2 years of recent MRI Technologist experience
• ARRT certification in MRI
• Current state license or authorization to practice as required
• Current BLS certification
• At least 1 year of recent Epic experience
• Previous Level I trauma experience required
• Proficiency with hospital, emergency, trauma, outpatient, and acute-care MRI examinations
• Experience with contrast administration, peripheral IV starts, PACS, image post-processing, and MRI safety procedures
• Ability to work independently on overnight shifts and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Successful completion of required orientation, compliance, and competency activities

MRI Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality MRI examinations for neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients
• Conduct routine and advanced MRI studies of the brain, spine, chest, abdomen, pelvis, musculoskeletal system, cardiac structures, and vascular anatomy
• Support emergency and trauma imaging in a Level I trauma hospital setting
• Prepare patients, explain procedures, verify MRI safety screening, and provide attentive care throughout examinations
• Prepare and administer contrast media according to established protocols and document patient responses
• Start peripheral IVs and apply appropriate isolation precautions and personal protective equipment when indicated
• Operate MRI equipment and accessories safely, including coils and advanced imaging applications
• Review images for quality, complete image post-processing, and transmit studies through PACS
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and communicate effectively with radiologists and the broader care team
• Float to other qualified imaging areas or campuses when requested and perform only duties supported by documented competencies
