Travel Endoscopy RN job in Salem, Massachusetts for an experienced GI nurse seeking a 13-week contract, daytime schedule, and collaborative procedural team. Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Salem, Massachusetts
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,370-$2,500
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: November 15, 2026
• Schedule: 40 hours per week
• Shift Duration: 8-hour days
• Primary Shift: 7:15 a.m.-3:45 p.m., with one rotating day of 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. or 7:00 a.m.-5:30 p.m.
• Department Hours: Approximately 6:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday
• Call Requirements: Evening, night, weekend, and holiday call coverage may be required
• Clinical Setting: Endoscopy and GI procedural services with 8 procedure rooms and 18 PACU bays
• Daily Volume: Approximately 60-70 procedures
• Floating: Not required

Endoscopy RN Job Requirements

• Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license
• A minimum of 2-3 years of endoscopy RN experience in one clinical setting
• At least 2 years of travel nursing experience
• Current AHA ACLS certification
• Strong knowledge of GI endoscopy procedures and patient care
• Experience with GI technician responsibilities, Olympus scope setup, handling, and reprocessing
• EPIC charting experience preferred
• SGNA or CBSPD certification strongly preferred
• Ability to support rotating daytime shifts and scheduled call coverage

Endoscopy Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care throughout pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and recovery phases
• Support GI and endoscopy procedures performed with monitored anesthesia care and conscious sedation
• Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, supplies, and Olympus scopes according to established standards
• Assist with endoscope handling, transport, cleaning, disinfection, and reprocessing
• Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures, responding promptly to changes in condition
• Care for patients in procedure rooms at approximately a 1:1 ratio and in PACU at approximately a 1:2-3 ratio
• Complete accurate documentation in EPIC
• Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia professionals, technicians, and the broader procedural team to promote efficient patient flow
• Maintain a high standard of infection prevention, patient safety, and regulatory compliance
