Travel MRI Technologist Job Details
- Location: Trinity, Florida 34655, near New Port Richey and Tampa Bay
- Specialty: General MRI Technology
- Setting: On-site hospital radiology department
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,520-$1,640
- Schedule: 36 hours per week
- Shift: 12-hour day shifts, approximately 7:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m.
- Assignment Dates: October 6, 2026-January 5, 2027
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Schedule Expectations: Every other weekend and rotating holidays, consistent with department policy
MRI Technologist Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience as an MRI Technologist or MR Tech
- MRI Technologist certification or equivalent professional credential
- Ability to safely operate MRI equipment and follow established imaging protocols
- Strong patient-care, communication, and teamwork skills
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts, including rotating weekends and holidays
- Commitment to maintaining MRI safety standards and accurate patient documentation
Travel MRI Technologist Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality general MRI examinations according to department protocols
- Screen patients for MRI safety, review relevant medical history, and explain procedures clearly
- Position and monitor patients throughout imaging procedures to promote comfort and safety
- Operate MRI equipment and recognize image-quality concerns or technical issues
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team
- Maintain accurate patient records and complete required imaging documentation
- Follow infection prevention, MRI safety, and departmental compliance procedures
