Cardiac Cath Lab Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,030-$2,190

• Schedule: 10-hour day shifts, 7:00 a.m.-5:30 p.m.; approximately four shifts per week based on a 40-hour workweek

• Unit: Four-room cardiac catheterization laboratory with a 1:1 patient ratio
• Technology: GE equipment, Meditech, and Mac-Lab

Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience as a Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist, cardiovascular technologist, or in a comparable procedural laboratory setting
• Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist certification or comparable credential
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• ARRT credential required
• Competency with special procedures and GE Innova equipment
• RCIS certification preferred
• Strong critical-thinking, communication, and patient-care skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a close-knit, multidisciplinary cardiac care team
• Willingness to provide frequent on-call coverage and adapt to changing unit needs

Cardiac Cath Lab Responsibilities

• Prepare patients, equipment, and procedural rooms for cardiac catheterization procedures
• Assist with diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, including angiograms, stent placements, and balloon procedures
• Scrub for procedures and maintain a sterile field according to established standards
• Support cardiac, cerebral angiography, and related specialty procedures
• Operate and troubleshoot GE procedural equipment as appropriate
• Monitor supplies, maintain procedural readiness, and assist with room turnover
• Collaborate with registered nurses, physicians, and fellow technologists to promote safe, efficient patient care
• Participate in on-call coverage and respond promptly to urgent procedural needs
