Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) Travel Nursing Job – Las Vegas, Nevada
Labor & Delivery RN travel contract in Las Vegas, Nevada, offering 13 weeks of high-quality maternity and obstetric nursing care.
Join a collaborative Labor & Delivery team and provide compassionate, evidence-based care throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and antepartum care. This 13-week travel nursing assignment offers the opportunity to work in a well-established women’s services environment with dedicated labor, antepartum, triage, recovery, and operating room spaces. Las Vegas provides year-round sunshine, vibrant dining and entertainment, and easy access to outdoor recreation during your time off.
Travel Nursing Job Details

- Position: Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN)
- Location: Las Vegas, Nevada
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250-$2,370
- Assignment Dates: October 19, 2026-January 18, 2027
- Duration: 13-week travel nursing contract
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 p.m.-7:00 a.m.
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Weekends: Rotating weekends
- Openings: 2
- Unit Environment: Labor, antepartum, triage, recovery, and cesarean-section care
Labor & Delivery RN Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license eligible for practice in Nevada
- At least 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience
- Demonstrated experience serving as a circulator for cesarean sections
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
- Current C-EFM or AWHONN fetal monitoring certification
- Ability to provide safe maternal and newborn care in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Primary baby-catching experience preferred
- Adaptability to float to Mother-Baby or other assigned hospital units as needed
Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients during labor, delivery, recovery, and the antepartum period
- Circulate for cesarean-section procedures and support operative deliveries
- Assist with vaginal deliveries, newborn transitions, and immediate postpartum recovery
- Perform fetal and maternal assessments, ongoing fetal monitoring, and timely clinical interventions
- Safely administer and monitor magnesium therapy according to established protocols
- Care for labor patients at approximately a 1:2 ratio and antepartum patients at approximately a 1:3 ratio
- Collaborate with obstetric providers, newborn care staff, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Float to Mother-Baby for maternal care or serve as a task nurse in other assigned units when needed
- Accurately document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record
- Contribute to a positive unit culture through self-motivation, professionalism, and teamwork
