Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) Travel Nursing Job – 13-Week Contract
Join a collaborative inpatient nursing team as a Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) in Bridgeton, Missouri. Travel RN Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,890-$1,990
- Location: Bridgeton, Missouri, in the St. Louis metro area
- Setting: Inpatient medical-surgical and rehabilitation care
- Schedule: Three 12-hour day shifts per week, approximately 36 hours weekly
- Start Date: October 19, 2026
- Duration: 13-week travel nursing contract
- Openings: 2
- Work Arrangement: On-site
Med/Surg Registered Nurse Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Missouri
- At least 1 year of professional nursing experience; 2 years of bedside clinical experience preferred
- Recent medical-surgical, acute care, or inpatient rehabilitation nursing experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required before the first shift
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification may be required based on the assigned care setting
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, organization, and teamwork skills
- Ability to provide safe, compassionate patient care in a fast-paced inpatient environment
Med/Surg RN Responsibilities
- Complete nursing assessments within the required timeframe and develop individualized plans of care
- Deliver direct patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Monitor patient conditions, recognize changes in status, and promptly communicate pertinent information to the care team
- Participate in interdisciplinary conferences and contribute to patient rehabilitation and recovery goals
- Provide patient and family education based on identified health needs and anticipated discharge plans
- Initiate discharge planning from admission and support a safe transition to the next level of care
- Accurately document assessments, interventions, patient responses, and outcomes in the medical record
- Delegate appropriately and provide direction, training, and supervision to support nursing personnel
- Promote patient, staff, and environmental safety while following infection prevention and facility policies
- Prioritize assignments, use time effectively, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to achieve quality outcomes
- Assume charge responsibilities after completing orientation when requested
