Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) Travel Contract in Warrenton, Virginia
Experienced Emergency Room RN wanted for a 12-week travel nursing assignment in Warrenton, VA, providing patient-centered emergency care across the full age spectrum.

Travel Nursing Job Details
- Position: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) / Emergency Department RN
- Location: Warrenton, Virginia 20186
- Assignment Type: Travel contract
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910-$2,010
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 p.m.-7:00 a.m.
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Contract Duration: 12 weeks, September 27, 2026-December 26, 2026
- Call: Not required
- Float: Rare; limited to units appropriate to your skill set or providing support as needed
- Documentation System: Meditech
Emergency Room RN Job Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse license eligible for practice in Virginia
- At least 2 years of recent Emergency Room or Emergency Department nursing experience
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS
- Ability to independently perform a broad range of emergency nursing skills
- Strong assessment, prioritization, communication, and clinical decision-making skills
- Self-motivated, self-sufficient, and team-oriented approach
- Commitment to patient-centered care and a positive experience for patients and families
Emergency Nursing Responsibilities
- Provide safe, timely, and compassionate emergency nursing care to patients of all ages
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, monitor conditions, and promptly identify changes in status
- Complete essential Emergency Room nursing skills, including phlebotomy, IV initiation, EKGs, splinting, wound care, and patient transport
- Administer medications and treatments according to established orders, policies, and clinical standards
- Collaborate with providers and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support effective patient evaluation and treatment
- Prioritize care in a fast-paced emergency department while maintaining accurate documentation in Meditech
- Support patient flow, operational goals, and a positive experience for patients and families
- Float only when needed to a clinically appropriate unit or to provide additional support
