Travel Healthcare Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,080-$2,230
- Location: Lafayette, Indiana
- Healthcare Setting: Hospital-based non-invasive cardiology
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
- Shift Duration: 8-hour day shifts
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Contract: 13 weeks
- On-Call: Rotating weekly call coverage, including weekday overnight and weekend availability
- Equipment: Philips CVx
- Electronic Medical Record: Epic
Echo Technologist Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of professional echocardiography or cardiac sonography experience
- Current Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) credential
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Demonstrated proficiency in adult echocardiography, including stress echocardiography
- Pediatric and neonatal echocardiography experience is preferred
- Strong attention to detail, punctuality, flexibility, and a cooperative team approach
- Ability to complete required hospital onboarding education
- Ability to meet hospital dress and professional conduct standards
Echo Technologist Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive adult echocardiograms and stress echocardiography studies
- Acquire technically accurate diagnostic cardiac images and optimize studies using available ultrasound equipment
- Prepare patients for procedures, explain cardiac imaging exams clearly, and provide compassionate care throughout the patient experience
- Recognize and appropriately respond to significant findings or changes in patient condition
- Document echocardiography procedures and findings accurately in the Epic electronic medical record
- Collaborate with cardiologists, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team
- Participate in the rotating on-call schedule, including weekday overnight and weekend coverage
- Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and professional work environment
