Travel Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) – 13-Week Contract in Beckley, WV

Travel Nursing Job Details
- Specialty: Medical-Surgical Nursing / Med-Surg RN
- Location: Beckley, West Virginia
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800-$1,890
- Start Date: September 14, 2026
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks, ending December 14, 2026
- Schedule: Three 12-hour night shifts per week, 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Position Type: Travel Registered Nurse assignment
- Openings: 1
- Travel Requirement: Candidates must reside at least 60 miles from the assignment location to be considered for the travel rate.
Med/Surg Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- At least 1 year of recent medical-surgical nursing experience in an acute care or hospital setting
- Ability to provide safe, effective care for adult patients with varied medical and surgical needs
- Ability to work 12-hour overnight shifts and maintain the required travel nursing assignment schedule
- Completion of all facility-required credentials and pre-employment requirements before the start date
Medical-Surgical RN Responsibilities
- Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions throughout the shift
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with provider orders and nursing standards
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans
- Recognize changes in patient status and communicate concerns promptly to the interdisciplinary care team
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, support staff, patients, and families to coordinate care
- Provide patient and family education related to diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge planning
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation while promoting patient safety and quality patient outcomes
