Travel Operating Room Surgical Technologist – Level I Trauma Center | Aurora, Colorado
Travel Surgical Technologist opportunity in Aurora, CO: join a high-acuity Operating Room team in a busy Level I Trauma Center and support complex surgical cases. This 13-week travel assignment offers strong perioperative experience, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the chance to work in a fast-paced surgical services environment near the Denver metro area.
Job Details
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,420 – $1,530

- Location: Aurora, CO 80045
- Shift: Day shift, 3×12-hour schedule (06:45 – 19:15)
- Hours Per Week: 36
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date: 10/12/2026
- On-Call: Yes, up to 3 call shifts in an 8-week schedule period
- Weekend Requirement: Yes, per unit needs
- Float Requirement: Yes, within scope to meet facility needs and between like units
- Scrubs: Provided
- Orientation: Included at assignment start
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of Operating Room experience
- Experience in a Level I or Level II Trauma Center required
- Prior travel surgical technologist experience required
- Current BLS certification required
- Current DORA certification required
- Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced perioperative environment
- Strong experience across a broad range of surgical specialties
- Must be comfortable with weekend coverage, on-call shifts, and floating as needed
Responsibilities
- Prepare the Operating Room for a wide variety of surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons and the perioperative team during complex, high-acuity cases
- Maintain sterile technique and support safe, efficient surgical workflows
- Handle diverse case types including trauma, general surgery, neuro, vascular, orthopedics, and more
- Support patient care for adult surgical populations in a Level I Trauma Center
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support smooth room turnover and patient flow
- Adapt to changing staffing needs, floating, and varying start times when required
- Contribute to a team-oriented environment built around quality, safety, and excellent patient outcomes
