Travel ICU Registered Nurse (RN) – Neuro ICU Job in Columbus, OH

- Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (Travel RN)
- Shift: Night shift, 12-hour shifts
- Schedule: 3 shifts per week
- Hours Per Week: 36
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: 11/2/2026
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,940 – $2,040
Job Requirements
- Active compact or Ohio RN license in hand at the time of submission
- Minimum of 2 years of ICU nursing or neuro-critical care experience
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (AHA only)
- Experience with Epic preferred
- Strong clinical skills in telemetry, ventilator management, IV starts, and intracranial pressure monitoring
- Ability to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed
- Education from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program
- Two professional references required, including at least one manager, director, or formal supervisor
Responsibilities
- Provide expert nursing care for adult patients with complex neurological and neurosurgical conditions
- Monitor and manage patients with ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, seizures, meningitis, and post-operative neurosurgical needs
- Care for mechanically ventilated patients and support invasive neuromonitoring, including EVD and ICP monitoring
- Assist with bedside procedures such as tracheostomy care, PEG-related support, central line and arterial line management, and EVD placement
- Administer and titrate critical medications, including vasoactive drips and sedation protocols, per unit standards
- Collaborate closely with respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, rapid response, and other interdisciplinary care teams
- Maintain safe, efficient care delivery while adapting to a self-scheduled, high-acuity ICU environment
