Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) Job in Salem, MA
Experienced Labor & Delivery RN needed for a travel nursing assignment in Salem, Massachusetts, on the North Shore near Boston. Join a collaborative maternal-child team and provide compassionate care in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn settings.
Job Details
- Position Type: Travel Registered Nurse

- Location: Salem, MA 01970 — coastal North Shore community just outside Boston
- Start Date: 10/18/2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Schedule: Primarily day shift with coverage to evenings and nights as needed; every other weekend required; one night of call
- Shift Duration: 12-hour shifts
- Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,360 – $2,480
- Charting System: Epic
Job Requirements
- 3 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience required
- Experience in Postpartum and Newborn Nursery care preferred
- Ability to circulate and support newborn care functions
- Active Massachusetts RN license required
- Current AHA BLS certification required
- NRP certification required
- EFM certification required (renewed every 2 years for Labor & Delivery)
- AHA ACLS preferred
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a high-acuity maternal-child environment
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care for patients in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn settings
- Support laboring patients, including active labor monitoring and intervention as needed
- Assist with circulating in the OR and supporting newborn care in the unit
- Monitor and respond to patient needs across a busy maternal-child nursing unit
- Collaborate closely with physicians, providers, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Maintain accurate documentation in Epic
- Deliver safe patient care while adapting to rotating shifts and weekend coverage
- Contribute to a supportive, team-oriented environment focused on excellent patient outcomes
