Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (Travel RN) – Eureka, CA 95501

- Shift: 3×12-hour day shifts (6:00 AM – 4:00 PM)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,480 – $2,610
- Start Date: October 19, 2026
- End Date: January 18, 2027
- Orientation: 40 hours
- Schedule Notes: Weekend coverage may be required to meet staffing needs
- Floating: May float within scope to meet facility needs
- Environment: Culturally diverse patient population with high-risk OB care
Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of Labor & Delivery RN experience required
- Current California RN license in hand; compact license must be active at submission if applicable
- Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate
- Epic charting experience required
- Experience caring for antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn patients
- Comfort working with high-risk obstetric patients and circulating on cesarean sections
- Ability to work in a team-based environment with a flexible approach to floating as needed

Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate nursing care across labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care
- Monitor maternal and fetal status and respond to changing clinical needs promptly
- Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and high-risk obstetric procedures
- Support postpartum recovery, newborn assessments, and family education
- Administer medications and therapies as ordered, including oxytocin, magnesium sulfate, and other obstetric interventions
- Perform fetal monitoring, assess labor progression, and document care accurately in Epic
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care
- Maintain a positive, professional approach while supporting a busy unit with diverse patient needs
