- Specialty: Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) Registered Nurse
- Setting: Adult Intensive Care Unit / Critical Care
- Location: Columbus, Ohio
- Start Date: 11/2/2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: Night shift, 3 x 12-hour shifts per week (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekend Coverage: Required; minimum 4 weekend shifts per 4-week block
- Holiday Coverage: Rotating holidays
- Orientation: 36 hours
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,940 – $2,040
- Patient Ratio: 1:1-2
- Assignment Type: Travel Nursing
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of Cardiac ICU, CVICU, or adult critical care nursing experience preferred
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- NIHSS certification preferred
- Epic charting experience required
- Strong background in cardiovascular monitoring, hemodynamic support, and ICU procedures
- Ability to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed
- Prior travel nurse experience preferred
- Must be able to work nights, weekends, and rotating holidays
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to adults with complex cardiovascular, thoracic, and post-procedural conditions
- Monitor and manage patients requiring advanced ICU therapies and hemodynamic support
- Support patients receiving ventilator management, vasoactive drips, sedation, and invasive line care
- Care for patients with CABG, valve repairs/replacements, TAVR, ECMO, LVAD/RVAD, IABP, Impella, and other critical cardiac conditions
- Interpret dysrhythmias, ABGs, and hemodynamic data to support safe, timely interventions
- Manage central lines, arterial lines, Swan Ganz monitoring, chest tubes, and other advanced devices
- Collaborate closely with respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, rapid response teams, and other support services
- Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and contribute to a safe, team-oriented ICU environment
