• Hours Per Week: 36 hours per week, with an option to work 48 hours per week
• Schedule: Every other weekend and every other holiday
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,810-$1,940
• Orientation: Includes onboarding and specialty-specific training
• Additional Notes: Self-scheduling model; schedule needs are reviewed by leadership

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of respiratory therapy experience
• Experience in Level IV NICU care required
• Cardiac PICU experience preferred
• Current RRT credential required
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required
• PALS certification preferred
• Virginia state license required; pending license may be accepted if a temporary license can be obtained before start
• Must hold an additional state license to qualify for a temporary Virginia license
• ACCS certification preferred
• Experience with Epic is required unless otherwise noted during review
• Must be comfortable floating within scope of practice as needed
• Flu vaccination required; COVID-19 vaccination not required

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care across NICU, PICU, high-risk deliveries, and acute care pediatric units
• Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other members of the care team to support complex patient needs
• Perform and assist with neonatal transports and inter-departmental transfers
• Set up and manage respiratory equipment including CPAP, BiPAP, HFNC, and ventilatory support systems
• Support intubation, extubation, suctioning, ABG interpretation, and airway management
• Provide care using advanced equipment including the Bunnell Jet Ventilator and HFOV 3100A
• Respond to respiratory distress and assist with critical interventions as needed
• Deliver safe, compassionate, and age-appropriate respiratory therapy for neonatal and pediatric patients
• Maintain strong communication, critical thinking, and flexibility in a fast-paced clinical setting
