Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) – Travel Contract in Olney, Maryland

Job Details
- Position: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)
- Employment Type: Travel Nursing Contract
- Location: Olney, Maryland
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Night shift, 3×12-hour schedule (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- Shift Duration: 12 hours
- Shifts per Week: 3
- Weekly Hours: 36
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,680 – $1,770
- Start Date Options: 10/6/2026 or 11/3/2026
- Weekend/Holiday Coverage: Every other weekend and every other holiday required
- On-Call: None
- Orientation: Required prior to start
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license eligible for Maryland practice
- Minimum of 3 years of Emergency Room RN experience required
- At least 1 completed travel assignment required
- General adult and pediatric Emergency Department experience required
- Current ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications required
- Cerner experience required
- Must successfully pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum 80% overall score and 100% on lethal rhythms
- Flu vaccination required; COVID-19 vaccination not required
- Comfortable working in a high-volume setting with strong time-management and communication skills
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to adult and pediatric patients
- Perform triage, rapid assessment, and ongoing patient monitoring in a busy ED setting
- Administer emergency medications and initiate timely interventions
- Start and maintain IV access and support blood product administration
- Care for ventilated patients and assist with central line management
- Support procedural sedation administration and monitoring
- Respond to changing patient conditions with sound clinical judgment and prioritization
- Use Cerner accurately for documentation and coordination of care
- Collaborate with the care team to deliver efficient, compassionate emergency care
