Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) – Vicksburg, Mississippi
Experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse needed for a 13-week travel nursing assignment in Vicksburg, Mississippi. Job Details
- Position Type: Travel Registered Nurse (Travel RN)
- Specialty: Labor & Delivery / Nursery / Mother-Baby
- Location: Vicksburg, Mississippi
- Start Date: October 5, 2026
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800 – $1,890
Job Requirements
- Active RN license in good standing
- Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience or related mother/baby experience preferred
- Current BLS certification required
- Current ACLS certification required
- Current NRP certification required
- Strong clinical skills in labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care
- Ability to work overnight shifts in a fast-paced acute care environment
- Mother-baby experience strongly preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to laboring patients and newborns
- Monitor maternal and fetal status throughout labor and delivery
- Support newborn assessments, stabilization, and family-centered care
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to promote positive patient outcomes
- Respond promptly to changing patient conditions using strong critical thinking and clinical judgment
- Educate and support patients and families throughout the birthing process
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow established clinical protocols
