Job Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of current telemetry hospital experience
- Active RN license
- BLS and ACLS required
- Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work independently
- Positive, engaged attitude and strong communication skills
- Preferred: prior experience in large teaching facilities
- Preferred: prior Meditech experience
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to telemetry patients in an acute care setting
- Monitor and assess patients receiving medication drips and central line care
- Assist with heart cath recovery and bubble studies as needed
- Manage a patient ratio of approximately 1:6, including higher-acuity heart cath patients as assigned
- Collaborate with RNs, patient care technicians, and unit clerks to support smooth unit operations
- Use clinical judgment to recognize changes in patient condition and escalate appropriately
- Maintain accurate documentation in the Meditech EMR system
