- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,680 – $1,770
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Charting System: MEDITECH
- Care Setting: Acute care hospital unit
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- At least 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience in an acute care setting
- BLS and ACLS required
- PALS preferred
- Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips
- Comfort titrating drips, including heparin
- Experience caring for adult and geriatric patient populations preferred
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills in a fast-paced hospital environment
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, compassionate nursing care to adult and geriatric medical-surgical patients
- Monitor telemetry patients and accurately interpret cardiac rhythms
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
- Titrate ordered drips in accordance with clinical protocols and provider guidance
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support positive patient outcomes
- Care for patients with conditions such as COPD, CHF, pneumonia, abdominal pain, SBO, and post-op needs
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the MEDITECH charting system
- Participate in a supportive unit workflow with assigned nurse aide assistance
