• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,810 – $1,940

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of respiratory therapy experience required
• Level IV NICU experience required
• Current RRT certification required
• Active BLS and NRP required
• Virginia state respiratory therapist license required; pending license may be accepted if temporary eligibility can be obtained before the start date
• PALS preferred
• ACCS preferred
• Experience supporting pediatric critical care and neonatal transport strongly preferred
• Must be comfortable working in a team-based, high-acuity pediatric hospital environment
• Ability to work required holidays and weekend coverage as scheduled

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care for neonates, infants, children, and adolescents across multiple hospital units
• Support high-risk deliveries, NICU, PICU, and acute care pediatric patients
• Perform and assist with advanced respiratory therapy procedures and treatments
• Operate specialized equipment including Bunnell Jet Ventilator and HFOV 3100A
• Assist with intubation, extubation, CPAP, BiPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, suctioning, and airway management
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other care team members to deliver safe, effective patient care
• Float within scope of practice as needed throughout the children’s hospital
• Maintain strong communication, critical thinking, and documentation standards in a fast-paced clinical setting
