- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,680-$1,770
- Schedule Expectations: Every other weekend and holidays in rotation; travelers may be asked to float as needed
Job Requirements
- 36 months of Registered Nurse (RN) experience required, including at least 1 year in an ICU setting
- Prior CVICU experience strongly preferred
- Previous successful travel nursing assignment preferred
- Comfort caring for 1-3 ICU patients at a time
- Experience managing ventilated patients and interpreting telemetry strips
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale
- BSN preferred
- TNCC and additional advanced critical care certifications preferred
- Experience with Meditech preferred
- Strong teamwork, communication, and bedside handoff skills
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate care to critically ill cardiovascular and neuro patients
- Monitor complex hemodynamic status and respond appropriately to changes in condition
- Care for patients recovering from CABG, Impella placement, balloon pump support, Swan-Ganz monitoring, and other advanced cardiac procedures
- Support neuro ICU-level needs, including patients with EVDs, bolts, and induced hypothermia protocols
- Assist with CRRT, phlebotomy, and respiratory treatments such as inhalers and nebulizers when indicated
- Perform thorough bedside shift reports for every transfer of care
- Document accurately in the electronic medical record and maintain strong clinical communication
- Float to related units such as the ED or PCU when needed to support patient care
- Contribute to a collaborative critical care team focused on quality, safety, and excellent patient outcomes
