Travel Registered Nurse – Med/Surg Telemetry – Lake Havasu City, Arizona

- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour day shifts
- Shifts Per Week: 3
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,800 – $1,890
- Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule period
- Orientation: Weekly orientation available
Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- Active RN license
- 2 years of recent Registered Nurse experience preferred
- Recent acute care experience
- Telemetry nursing experience
- Ability to manage a 1:6 patient ratio
- ACLS certification required
- Travel nursing experience preferred
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate, positive attitude
- Ability to float to other units as needed, including IMC and the ED
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a medical-surgical telemetry unit
- Monitor telemetry patients and respond appropriately to changes in condition
- Care for patients with a variety of diagnoses, including surgical, cardiac, and medical conditions
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support positive patient outcomes
- Document accurately in the electronic health record
- Adapt quickly to changing patient needs in a fast-paced acute care nursing environment
- Float to other hospital units when needed, including IMC and the Emergency Department
- Maintain a professional, team-focused approach while delivering excellent patient care
