Job Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Associate degree in Nursing required
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department or ER nursing experience
- Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications
- Meditech experience preferred
- Strong teamwork skills, positive attitude, and the ability to stay engaged in a dynamic clinical environment
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, efficient, and compassionate emergency nursing care for patients of all ages
- Perform initial assessments, monitor patient condition, and respond quickly to changes in acuity
- Care for a wide range of emergency cases, including respiratory distress, overdose, CHF, dialysis-related issues, and hypertension
- Administer medications and treatments according to established ER protocols
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the care team to deliver high-quality emergency care
- Document patient care accurately in the electronic health record
- Adapt to a flexible travel nurse assignment while maintaining a strong patient-focused presence throughout each shift
