Job Details
- Employment Type: Travel Nursing
- Shift Duration: 12-hour days
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,550 – $1,630
- Location: Bowling Green, KY 42104
- Work Setting: On-site telemetry unit
- Schedule Note: Every other weekend required
- Floating: May float to Orthopedics/Med-Surg as needed
- Openings: 2 positions available
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 1 year of telemetry nursing experience required
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required
- Comfort working in a telemetry environment with a 4:1 patient ratio, with occasional increases up to 6:1 or 7:1
- Experience with Meditech documentation preferred
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to telemetry patients in a dynamic acute-care setting
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications, treatments, and nursing interventions according to the plan of care
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support safe, efficient patient care
- Assist with procedures such as chest tube management, bedside paracentesis, and thoracentesis as appropriate
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record
- Follow telemetry monitoring and stroke policies to support patient safety and quality outcomes
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while helping maintain a strong patient experience
