- Hours Per Week: 36
- Weekend Commitment: Four weekend shifts in a four-week scheduling period
- On Call: No on-call requirement
Job Requirements
- Active RN license
- 2-3 years of Emergency Room RN / Emergency Department experience required
- Completion of 2-3 travel nurse assignments preferred
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC required
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-acuity emergency department preferred
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach
- Ability to work effectively with patient ratios of 4-6:1
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in a busy emergency department
- Respond to high-acuity cases including RSI, sepsis interventions, and stroke protocols
- Assist with tPA administration and central line care
- Provide skilled care for behavioral health and psych patients
- Support safe transfers to other facilities when indicated
- Work collaboratively with charge nurses, RNs, and medics to maintain efficient patient flow
- Maintain accurate documentation using Meditech EMR
- Contribute to a respectful, calm, and patient-focused team environment
