- Shift: 8-hour day shift, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Hours Per Week: 40
- Guaranteed Hours: 36
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,690 – $1,820
- Schedule: Monday-Friday; no onsite weekends, with potential on-call or remote coverage as needed
- Dress Code: Black scrubs or business casual
- EMR: Meditech Expanse
Job Requirements
- Registered Dietitian (RD) credential
- Active Texas Licensed Dietitian credential
- Minimum 1 year of dietitian experience in a hospital, clinical, or acute care setting
- Comfort performing NFPE preferred
- Experience providing outpatient counseling preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and patient education skills
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive medical nutrition therapy to hospital patients
- Perform nutrition assessments and ongoing follow-up as indicated
- Develop individualized nutrition recommendations to support patient care plans
- Conduct NFPE when appropriate
- Provide outpatient counseling support as needed
- Document care accurately in the EMR and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
- Contribute to a positive, patient-centered clinical nutrition program
