Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Job in Smyrna, Tennessee
Join a supportive Labor & Delivery nursing team in Smyrna, TN, just outside the greater Nashville area. This travel RN job offers the opportunity to provide patient-centered care in a dynamic women’s services setting, supporting laboring and postpartum patients while working with a collaborative team focused on individualized birth experiences and quality outcomes.

Job Requirements
- Active RN license
- Minimum of 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience
- Current ACLS certification
- Current BLS certification
- Current NRP certification
- Fetal monitoring competency
- Strong commitment to patient-centered care and supporting birth preferences
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced obstetric and maternal health environment
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality Labor & Delivery nursing care to laboring and postpartum patients
- Support patient choice and encourage vaginal birth opportunities when appropriate
- Assist with circulating in the OR and manage obstetric procedures as needed
- Perform and monitor interventions such as IUPC, FSE, MgSO4, postpartum hemorrhage management, JADA system support, and nitrous oxide
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and anesthesia providers to promote safe, individualized maternal-fetal care
- Respond to high-risk deliveries and maintain readiness for evolving patient needs
- Contribute to a positive, team-oriented healthcare environment focused on quality outcomes and patient experience
