PACU RN Travel Nursing Job in Atlanta, GA – Post-Anesthesia Care Unit
Experienced PACU RN needed for a 16-week travel assignment in Atlanta, Georgia. - Employment Type: Travel Nursing
- Contract Duration: 16 weeks

- Shift: 12-hour days
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM to 10:30 PM
- Hours Per Week: 36
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,520 – $1,600

Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent PACU experience or closely related post-anesthesia care experience
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
- NIHSS certification required
- Cerner experience preferred
- Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and comfort in a high-acuity recovery environment
- Ability to support holiday coverage as scheduled
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate post-anesthesia nursing care to surgical patients in the PACU
- Monitor patient recovery, assess stability, and respond quickly to changes in condition
- Care for patients recovering from complex procedures across multiple surgical specialties
- Collaborate with charge nurses, supervisors, surgeons, and anesthesia providers to support patient flow
- Document accurately and follow established PACU protocols and clinical standards
- Support a 24/7 recovery environment with holiday call coverage as needed
- Promote patient safety, comfort, and efficient recovery through excellent bedside care
