Job Details
- Position: Travel Med/Surg Tele RN
- Employment Type: Travel Nursing
- Location: Columbus, OH 43210
- Start Date: 9/21/2026
- End Date: 1/11/2027
- Duration: 16 weeks
- Weekly Hours: 36 hours
- Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts
- Schedule: Day and night coverage; 3×12-hour shifts
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,940 – $2,040
- Setting: Adult Med/Surg Telemetry with oncology focus
- Charting System: Epic
- Orientation: 72 hours
- Float Requirement: Required to other Med/Surg Oncology units
Job Requirements
- Active Ohio RN license in hand at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute care nursing experience in the specialty
- Current experience in Med/Surg Tele or a closely related acute care setting required
- BLS certification required
- Telemetry interpretation and telemetry monitoring experience required
- Experience with Epic charting required
- Comfort working with adult and geriatric patient populations
- Ability to work rotating days and nights based on unit needs
- Strong communication, adaptability, and teamwork skills
- Previous travel RN experience preferred
- Oncology nursing experience preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care for adults and geriatrics on a medical-surgical telemetry unit
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to telemetry changes
- Support patients with a variety of medical and oncology-related diagnoses
- Maintain a strong focus on infection prevention and fall prevention practices
- Administer medications and treatments according to plan of care and facility protocols
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to promote safe, effective patient outcomes
- Float to other Med/Surg Oncology units as needed
- Document accurately and efficiently in Epic
- Deliver compassionate care to patients and families throughout treatment and recovery
