CVOR Surgical Technologist (OR Tech) – Travel Assignment in Burlington, Vermont
Travel CVOR Surgical Technologist opportunity in Burlington, VT–support complex cardiovascular operating room cases in a respected teaching hospital while working with a collaborative perioperative team. Job Details
- Type: Travel assignment, on-site
- Location: Burlington, VT 05401
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,150 – $2,310
- Start Date: 09/21/2026
- End Date: 01/11/2027
- Duration: 16 weeks
- Hours: Approximately 40 hours per week
- Shift Duration: 10-hour rotating shifts (day/evening)
- Schedule Notes: Floating required, call as needed, and weekends as needed
- Holiday Requirement: Must work 2 of the following holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, and New Year’s Day
Job Requirements
- 2 years of operating room experience required
- Prior travel experience required
- Large teaching hospital experience required
- Level 1 trauma experience within the last year required
- Experience working in a single-scrub capacity for CVOR / cardiovascular surgery cases
- Strong knowledge of ortho, robotics, general surgery, ENT, plastics, and neuro procedures
- AHA BLS required
- NBSTSA certification required
- CNOR preferred
- Must have complete work history and be able to explain employment gaps over 90 days
- Reliable transportation required; public transportation is not accessible in the area
Responsibilities
- Provide scrub support for cardiovascular operating room procedures as a CVOR surgical technologist / OR tech
- Assist surgeons and the OR team in maintaining a safe, efficient sterile field
- Prepare instruments, supplies, and equipment for complex surgical cases
- Support case flow and adapt to a fast-paced, high-acuity perioperative environment
- Float to other areas as needed based on departmental needs
- Be available for call, weekend coverage, and rotating shift assignments
- Maintain professionalism and teamwork in a busy teaching-hospital setting
