Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 1 year of Operating Room or perioperative nursing experience
- Strong assessment skills with the ability to provide safe, accurate patient care
- Experience documenting care clearly and completely in the patient record
- Knowledge of patient safety practices, emergency equipment, and universal protocol standards
- Ability to support surgical patients from pediatric through geriatric populations
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative nursing assessments
- Deliver competent direct patient care to support the surgical team and patient flow
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation throughout the nursing process
- Follow safety guidelines, including patient identification and safe transfer techniques
- Individualize care based on procedure type, anesthesia, and patient needs
- Educate patients and families about procedures, expectations, and recovery instructions
- Support timely completion of pre-admission testing and related clinical coordination
