Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 1 year of current Mother/Baby, Postpartum, or Maternity Nursing experience
- Current BLS certification required
- Experience providing compassionate, family-centered patient care
- Strong communication skills and a flexible, positive approach
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced maternity and newborn care setting
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality postpartum nursing care and newborn care to mother/baby couplets
- Monitor patient recovery and support safe transitions after delivery
- Assist with newborn testing, circumcisions, staple removal, and routine mother/baby care
- Deliver patient education, discharge support, and emotional support to families throughout the postpartum stay
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to maintain a safe, organized, and compassionate unit environment
- Document care accurately using unit charting systems and follow established clinical policies
