Travel Cardiac Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) – Longview, Texas

Job Details
- Setting: Cardiac Stepdown / Telemetry
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,460 – $1,540
- Location: Longview, TX 75601
- Employment Type: Travel RN
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or a compact state
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a related nursing specialty or acute care setting
- BLS certification from AHA required
- ACLS certification from AHA required
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required
- EPIC experience highly preferred
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care for cardiac stepdown and telemetry patients
- Care for patients with a wide variety of neuro, respiratory, cardiac, and GI conditions
- Monitor and manage patients receiving multiple drips and BiPAP support
- Perform ongoing assessments, administer medications and treatments, and evaluate patient response
- Document patient history, symptoms, care provided, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner
- Educate patients and families on care plans, learning needs, and available resources
- Collaborate with the care team and make appropriate assignments and delegations as needed
- Deliver compassionate care while supporting patients with complex physical, emotional, and social needs
