Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) – Travel Nursing Job in Springfield, MA
Join a fast-paced Emergency Department team in Springfield, Massachusetts, a well-known city in Western Massachusetts with a central location in the Pioneer Valley, and take on a rewarding travel RN opportunity in a high-acuity emergency setting. This Emergency Room Registered Nurse position offers the chance to care for behavioral health, boarding, trauma, and critically ill patients while building valuable emergency nursing experience in Western Massachusetts.
Job Details
- Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse

- Shift: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Schedule: 3×12 or 4×12 options available
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,470 – $2,600
- Start Date: September 7, 2026
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department, ER nursing, or ICU experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong critical care and acute care nursing skills with comfort caring for unstable patients
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity emergency setting
- Excellent adaptability, communication, and teamwork skills
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients with mixed-acuity needs in the Emergency Department
- Monitor and stabilize behavioral health, boarding, trauma, and critically ill patients
- Perform thorough assessments, initiate interventions, and respond quickly to changing patient conditions
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to support safe, efficient patient flow
- Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care while maintaining professionalism, compassion, and attention to detail
- Adapt to a changing patient census and prioritize care based on acuity and clinical need
