Required Qualifications — Interventional Radiology Nurse / IR RN
- Active RN license (New Jersey or compact state) — Registered Nurse required
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience; experience in Interventional Radiology, Cath Lab, or Operating Room preferred
- Current BLS certification (required)
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills for procedural nursing
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team (physicians, radiology techs, OR staff)
Key Responsibilities — Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse
- Provide direct patient care before, during, and after interventional radiology procedures and OR cases
- Monitor patient status, vital signs, and hemodynamic changes to ensure patient safety throughout procedures
- Assist physicians and radiology technologists with sterile technique, positioning, vascular access, and procedure setup
- Administer medications, IV contrast, and intravenous fluids per orders and institutional policy
- Perform patient education on procedures, expectations, and post-procedure care to patients and families
- Maintain accurate documentation, procedural logs, and compliance with hospital policies and safety protocols
