Job Details

- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts
- Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed hours
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,460 – $1,540
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend or 4 weekend shifts per month
- Floating: Medical Oncology and Med/Surg
- Unit Size: 30-bed unit with a supportive, team-based staffing model
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- At least 1 year of nursing experience required
- BLS certification required
- Experience in oncology nursing, surgical oncology, or med-surg preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Compassionate, empathetic approach to patient care
- Ability to follow attendance expectations and unit policies
- IV insertion and chemotherapy experience are a plus
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to oncology patients in a surgical oncology setting
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses
- Assist with chest tube, NGT, and Foley management as needed
- Support IV insertion and chemotherapy-related care when assigned
- Monitor patients using unit equipment and clinical best practices
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure safe, effective patient care
- Maintain accurate documentation and use the Meditech EMR system
- Adapt to floating assignments within Medical Oncology and Med/Surg
- Contribute to a positive, patient-centered unit culture
